Overview

Use this guide to move from installation to daily subscription operations without leaving the Shopify-native workflow.

  • Install the app and enable the required storefront surfaces.
  • Review dashboard health and subscription metrics after launch.
  • Configure plans, discounts, and billing cadence in one place.
  • Manage live contracts, product swaps, and billing retry settings as your program scales.

Before you begin: Confirm you have Shopify admin access, theme editor access, and the products you want to sell on subscription already published.

1. Install the app

Navigate to the Shopify App Store and search for Torosachi Subscriptions. Click Add app, approve the required permissions, and confirm the app is connected to the storefront where you want to sell subscriptions.

This establishes the Shopify-native connection used for checkout, billing logic, customer contract management, and admin reporting.

2. Dashboard

The dashboard gives you a first pass on store readiness, active features, and core subscription metrics. It is the fastest place to confirm the recurring app embed and date adjustment block are live before you start configuring plans.

3. Configure subscription plans

Set up your billing frequencies, delivery cadence, and discount logic before publishing subscription offers to shoppers. ToroSachi supports daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cadences, along with both flat and percentage-based incentives.

Plan list

Use the plan list to review every active configuration in one place, including descriptions, attached products, frequencies, and plan status.

Discount and frequency controls

Configure discounts and cadence together so the financial offer matches the operational schedule. You can define recurring percentages, interval-based savings, and tiered discounts that change after a set number of successful payments.

4. Manage subscription contracts

Once plans are live, the subscriptions area becomes your operations center. Use it to monitor contract status, view customer context, and make changes without forcing a cancel-and-restart flow.

Contract list and filtering

Filter active, paused, and cancelled contracts, review upcoming cadence, and see which customers or products need attention.

Edit contract details

Adjust quantities, swap products, update frequency, change terms, or revise shipping details. Changes remain synchronized with the active billing cycle instead of creating a parallel workflow outside Shopify.

5. Product swap

Bulk product swaps let you replace one product across live subscriptions while previewing the affected lines before execution. This is useful for seasonal changes, pack substitutions, and inventory-driven replacements.

6. General settings

General settings control how the platform behaves when payments fail or inventory falls short. Configure retry intervals, total attempt count, failure handling, and internal notifications so recovery happens consistently instead of manually.

Advanced features

Contract lifecycle control

Manage all subscription contracts in one dashboard. Filter by active, paused, or cancelled, search by customer, and even bulk update multiple contracts at once.

Order history tracking

Get complete visibility into past orders, upcoming deliveries, and payment attempts with detailed transaction logs.

Flexible editing tools

Update subscription details anytime—change delivery frequency, swap products, adjust quantities, or update subscription terms without cancelling the contract.

Billing cycle management

Skip, reschedule, or process upcoming orders with ease. You can even create one-off orders outside the normal schedule for special requests or replacements.

Pro tip: Use the bulk editing tools when you need to standardize plan or contract changes across multiple customers at once. This keeps operational updates fast and reduces manual error.
